ABOUT

PEGNL is launching a pilot e-mentoring program for Members-In-Training (MIT) for those requiring support as they work towards professional licensure. As an emerging Engineer-In-Training and/or Geoscientist-In-Training you’ll receive support on competency development, planning your future career and pathway to licensure.

How much time is involved?
Mentoring is a partnership and does require dedicated time (for this program a minimum of 3 hours or 3 meetings over a 6-month period are identified, and additional time is required to prepare for a mentoring session).

Why get involved?

Benefits for mentees:
• increased support and professional inclusion
• great professional networking opportunity
• professional guidance towards achieving long term career goals
• opportunities to discuss how to acquire the competencies necessary for professional licensure

Benefits for mentors:
• have a chance to foster the next generation of engineers and geoscientists
• get an occasion for reflection, develop new skills and be further energized in your work
• have an opportunity to share a wealth of experience
• obtain leadership development through mentoring (and qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours).
